Improving Poor Farmers' Livelihood through Improved Rice Postharvest Management

The goal of the Project is to improve the livelihoods of farm families and reduce rural poverty by increasing the financial returns from rice harvests.  The immediate objectives are the following:

- improve rice post harvest technologies;

- enhance understanding of the rice markets in which farmers operate;

- provide farmers opportunities for more equitable participation in the
  rice market chain; and
- establish a network of rice post harvest practitioners that will
  exchange rice post harvest information and technology, and share rice
  market intelligence.
